Hello and greetings from

When I said I don’t send out many emails, it seems I wasn’t kidding! Here is my first newsletter – five years after welcoming our first guests to the Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage here at Noss Head!
It’s definitely autumn now in Caithness
Things are feeling even more relaxed with fewer people driving the NC500. But there is still plenty to do. Caithness Animal Farm Park are celebrating Halloween with guided walks every day during October. And the Lichen Caithness Reindeer Centre who opened this summer are doing Spooktacular tours this autumn.

For couples wanting a really short break…

Getting better every year
We have had some great recognition this year for quality and for helping guests be green without being preachy about it. We received Gold Award for Green Tourism in the spring, and a Four Star rating from Visit Scotland later in the year.
And talking of all things green, we have an outdoor socket for trickle-charging EV cars safely overnight and we plan to install a full-on EV charger next year.
