For a green option, travel up by train or bus coming to Inverness or Wick – a real treat is to take the Caledonian Sleeper and travel in style!
There are flights to Inverness from around the UK and some European destinations. And there are flights to Wick from Aberdeen.
If you are driving up in the winter, we suggest you stay overnight near Perth or Pitlochry on the way.
